Vamps and Flappers
I just love that short story that Fitzgerald wrote, 'Bernice Bobs Her Hair'. I highly recommend it.
I think I want to be a flapper (LOVE HER BOOTS!) for Halloween. That or a guy from top gun.

The Second Story Window
Don't worry I'm alive.
This reminds me of a story. My grandpa lived in Roslyn, South Dakota for his entire life. He became good friends with Ed Nilson. Ed had a big old house that was the talk of the town. Mostly because no nobody had seen the inside since his mother's funeral. Any maybe because he didn't have any electricity and running water...anyway, Ed had given Nord (my grandpa) permission to use a ladder to climb into his house if anything would happen. A few months (or was it years) later Ed went missing. After a week, Nord set up the ladder and climbed up to a window.
To Ed's surprise he found himself starring at Nord's face looking at him through the window. He was just recuperating from a cold.

That ladder is still there.

A Creepin'
After debating for a long while I told myself to just screw the note and leave.
I had walked in on Mari taking a nap in her room (In my defense her Grandma let me in!) and all I wanted were the props I had brought over on Monday for filming.
Five minutes later (five minutes long then needed) I started to hoist the two bags and tripod into my arms when Mari awoke.
Okay, have you even taken an afternoon nap? When you wake up from them you're kinda' groogy and not quite back into the real world, well that's what Mari was like.
She had an imprint from the pillow on one side of her face and her eyes were squinted from either the bright light or because she couldn't believe I was really standing in her bedroom.
L: ummm....hi your grandma let me in
M: ....
L: i was just grabbing my stuff you know this isn't the weirdest situation i've ever been in
M: ....
L: well i hope i didn't wake you up just go back to sleep
M: ...okay
Then I walked down the carpeted stairs, out the glass door, and back towards my house.

A Locker Romance
Last semester there was this couple that had a locker across from mine. He was extremely tall and always wore this John Deer baseball cap. She had platinum blond hair and was short and skinny, another words, the regular chick. Every time I stopped by my locker during the day I would see them. Through the fall and early winter I would catch snippets of their day to day conversations about school and well, life.
Then when the schedules changed my locker stopping switched up and I never saw them again.
Today I was walking down the hallway when in front of me I noticed a very tall guy walking hand in hand with a short brown haired girl. I sped ahead and glanced back to see if perhaps the girl had colored her hair.
She hadn't.

Doggie Props

"If I would ever meet Jack Johnson I would seriously kiss him, like big sweaty, tung, long kiss.", says my cousins boyfriend. No wonder they named their dog Jack.
Most of the time (down in Arizona) is spent caring for this animal. Tell ya the truth, I'm not a big dog person....well animal person. Though I am kinda' growing on little Jack. Only confusing part is my cousins boyfriend's name is Jake, and his dogs name is Jack....such an easy slip.
Best part about animals, the stories. (hands down)
A week ago, Jake and Deni (my cousin, she goes to ASU in Flasgtaff, they live together in an apartment) had woke up to Jack whining. Jack (who was in his kennel in their bedroom because there is no other space) was freaking out and whining. They thought he just wanted to get out and decided to be tuff parents, so they (tried) wait him out.
Two hours later they were at their wits end. They both had a test the next morning and Jack would not let up. So, Jake got up and opened the kennel. Jack race up onto the bed, jumped around for a second and then raced into the corner of the room.
SPLWASHOSH! (a.k.a the sound of diarrhea)
You need to remember the whole time it's dark in the bedroom.
Jake had to squeeze through the door (because the incident happened right in that corner, by the door) so he could get something to clean it up. Poor Deni was stuck in the smelly bedroom with the crazy puppy that was freaking out because he didn't know what had just happened to him. Apparently she was trying not to puke.
Their apartment smelled for the next few days, that poor dog held it for two hours, I've got to give him props.

Liz Is A Great Name

One morning a husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, his wife decides to take the boat out.
She motors out a short distance, drops anchor and begins to read her book.
Along comes a gamekeeper in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says,
"Good morning, ma'am. What are you doing?"
"Reading a book," she replies.
"You're in a restricted fishing area," he informs her.
"I'm sorry, Officer, but I'm not fishing, I'm reading."
"Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up."
"If you do that, I 'll have to charge you with sexual assault,"says the woman.
"But I have not even touched you," says the gamekeeper.
"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment."
"Have a nice day, ma'am," he said, and left.
