International Musica!

On New Years Eve I went over to Courtney's house for a New Years Party.

And the music we listening to was what?
Of course, One Direction.

Then somehow my ipod was on the dock.

I'm a very confident in everything (always Dare when it comes to Truth or Dare) except when it comes to my music. In that area I am immensely embarrassed by what people would say about my 'odd' assortment of songs. I really don't have any 'know' with music, so when I'm asked what my favorite band is I just go with the old classic: The Fratellis.

It was here that I had some 'International' (as I call it) music playing. It's songs that I found through my language camp. Another words it's mostly Norwegian music.

Meghan then asked if she could have a CD of the good international music (that for some reason everyone liked) and now I'm finally getting around to it.

Here's just a snippet of the good stuff!

(It's about dancing on a table)

What do you think about a Norwegian black rapper?

My List...

Now I know Mikaela likes to make lists, and I don't mind them too much, but would anyone ever make a amazon wish list? I didn't really know about it until a few months ago, and I just looked at one today.

I really don't know what to say about it.

Most Excited

The award for Most Excited goes to mikaelamcmillian. (Her blog is blocked to a point where even I can't see it so I'll respect her privacy and not even try to give you the link)

Last Monday when the Blog-A-Thon first started we were talking before my fifth hour class and she seemed so excited for it. That excitement made me excited and, it seemed, even Courtney excited. So, thanks for being your happy lovely self.

Congratulations, go ahead and put this lovely award on your blog.

16 Reasons

Inspired by Nora's birthday gift to me, here's a list of 16 reasons why I loved today and my party.

  1. Tessa's foreign exchange student was the first person to wish me happy birthday on Facebook. Nivétha Guna!
  2. Was yelled at by Courtney when I arrived at school. She wanted to wish me a happy birthday.
  3. People in biology were psyched that it was my birthday. For some unknown reason.
  4. My whole Spanish class seemed to know that it was my birthday.
  5. The stuck up Cutaway people in video wished me a wonderful birthday. It's quite an accomplishment for them to look down from their perch atop their self made alters to wish an underling, like me, a happy birthday.
  6. The funny hallway incident that involved Matt and Zach. I just need to tell you in person.
  7. Maher came to the party and proceeded to scar Gretchen. JK, she's all good.
  8. Wendy was able to come and I think got along with everyone. Including me.
  9. Got out of watching the movie because of Tess's dad. Cake time!
  10. Got Schindler's List from Mikaela. You have no idea how happy this made me!
  11. Blew out all the candles, no boyfriends to worry about.
  12. Had fun playing in fire with Sonia and Mikaela.
  13. Had, by far, the best gift turn out ever. I could really tell people wanted to give me something great, and they all succeeded.
  14. Met Nora's kitty after everyone left.
  15. It started to rain.
  16. Mom and Dad are gone tomorrow so that means Cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Ah, what a wonderful life.

Btw: Here is the safety video.

Letters Home Part 2

Dear Hannah,
Darling, we have so much fun on the bus! Sadly today I was completely killed in the voice department and you had to uphold a one sided conversation. The good thing is, just like with Courtney, I can sit in silence with you for hours and not feel agitated. That is a rare thing to find in a friend, a rare thing indeed.

Dear Mikaela (a.k.a the newest member of Mr. Wevers Science Class),
Yes, his room smells, a lot. If you would just see some of the things he does in there, it would give you the shivers. The creepy thing is that he's dissected a bear on the tables a long with a cat and a few other wild animals. I guess I'm just used to the smell, but when you brought it up man could I smell it! Also, your little Madeline post was the best thing in the whole wide world! I adore (and always have) Madeline. I have the little doll and books and everything, oh! So cute! (also, if you're having trouble finding me a gift, think along the lines of a special move we were talking about, one I've never seen.....)

Dear Tess,
I loved the skirt you were wearing today. I have the same one, great minds think a like. Also, are you coming to the party? I think I might have asked you, but I can't be sure.....any who! OMG! Did Courtney tell you that Hannah, myself and her watched Breakfast At Tiffany's? They both loved it (duh!) and It reminded me of when I first watched it with you! If only you would have been there to watch you favorite movie with us!

Angry Men

I think I have angered some people today and I want to channel the things I learned at VCCS to write an apology.

Dear Courtney,

I am truly sorry that I left the rotunda early. It wasn't on purpose, I was just being odd, it wasn't like you smelled or anything. Also, when we were taking the 180 question test about our future jobs I thought of you when I read the question: Studying marine life. (like unsure dislike) You're going places!

Dear Meghan,

I tend to bug people I love. Just ask Gretchen, I really love her, but I am sorry that I was making fun of you at the lunch table. What would I do without you? And if your artcrush thinks your weird I'll take care of her. (screw her music!)

Dear ...practically everyone,

I am sorry I tried to start a betta fish fighting ring. We had a bowl ready to grab one when they started fighting. At least now Theodore has a good home. (link, very funny)

Dear Mikaela,

Did I do something? Apparently I can't see your blog anymore....oh! I also heard your name on the announcements this morning....

I think this should be y'alls theme song. (link)

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of a people who will not be slaves again.
When the beating of your heart echoes the beating of the drums,
there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes.

No Trespassing

"Man, there's been a lot of death recently.", Courtney stated, in her blunt way, this morning on the bus.

It's true, think of all the earthquakes (which Courtney also brought up) and some of my closest friends have family members dropping like flies. Yet (as Tessa cried) all I could do was freak about my sweatshirt....Meghan I think we need to check before we wear it to school just so this never happens...ever again.

Happier news: I trespassed today during sixth hour. When I told Mrs. Drew that Amanda and I probably did something illegal she just laughed and welcomed me to Cutaway Productions. oh joy.

p.s. Mikaela, LOOOOOOVE the pictures!

Milk is My Name, Pizza is My Game.

I love milk. I don't know why some people don't like it. Hannah and I were talking about milk on the bus and we couldn't wrap our minds around the idea that milk is bad. I don't know if that's what other people feel like, but Hannah and I agree, it's amazing.

I had so much fun last night, the movie was really funny and even though Taylor Swift was stupid it almost made the movie even better. Then the pizza place (Broadway's Pizza I believe.) was cool, and our waitress was nice to us, no evil eye this time. I was the only one who ordered Milk though...figures.

Mikaela, now all I'm thinking about is Schindler's List. Man do I really want to see it.
