'and this is crazy'

Just finished my government final, now I'm on my phone updating you all. This is a countdown week after all. Don't you want to know what I'm doing at every?

I feel good about it. Courtney freaked me out yesterday when I asked her how it was. I feel really good though.

It's funny how all of these seniors I'm sitting around are I the last throws of their senior year. And yet were still acting like high schoolers for the few hours we have left of being one. For some reason my yearbook doesn't seem so cool/important today.

It's going to be a crazy few days.

Quest

I have been on a quest (granted by myself and only in my head) to find a picture of One Direction that the fans out there, haven't seen yet.
How did I do?

In My Head

This has been stuck in my head all day. I had Gretchen listen to it and she was like "What is this?"

The video is really weird and has nothing to do with anything, so just listen to the song. Or watch it because I've now spurned your intrest.

Perhaps only Christina will truly understand how awesome this is.

International Musica!

On New Years Eve I went over to Courtney's house for a New Years Party.

And the music we listening to was what?
Of course, One Direction.

Then somehow my ipod was on the dock.

I'm a very confident in everything (always Dare when it comes to Truth or Dare) except when it comes to my music. In that area I am immensely embarrassed by what people would say about my 'odd' assortment of songs. I really don't have any 'know' with music, so when I'm asked what my favorite band is I just go with the old classic: The Fratellis.

It was here that I had some 'International' (as I call it) music playing. It's songs that I found through my language camp. Another words it's mostly Norwegian music.

Meghan then asked if she could have a CD of the good international music (that for some reason everyone liked) and now I'm finally getting around to it.

Here's just a snippet of the good stuff!

(It's about dancing on a table)

What do you think about a Norwegian black rapper?

and sidekick G, yo!

Yes, yes another video. I'm sure you all are on the edge of your seats.

But this one stars me! And Gretchen. And were rapping to Romeo and Juliet!

So, tell me what you think. If this is not HORRIBLE then I think it would be funny if I would come up with some of my own lyrics to rap about classical literature, or really anything excepte what real rappers rap about. Yo.

Naughtee out!

Not in a gay way

I plead with you to watch this clip.

Gretchen and I are big fans of this HBO tv show called Flight of the Conchords. It's no longer on HBO (it ran only two seasons) so we rewatch the episodes from the DVD pack that mom got the cats this Christmas.

The above song is sung to Bret by Jermine, his roommate and other half of the folk band called Flight of the Conchords. They are from New Zealand and moved to New York to make it big. Sadly that is not panning out. The show centers around the crazy, stupid things these two and their band manager get into.

Fun fact! Bret is the writer of the song "Man or a Muppet" from the Muppet Movie, he received the Academy Award for the song just a few weeks ago.

Hunk-U-Les

Ah, Disney is oh so very good!

Courtney, Hannah, Gretchen, and I watched Hercules on Friday and I forgot how amazing that movie is! My favorite part is the five muses who sing the gospel type songs. I think it would be fun to get nine girls together and be the nine muses for Halloween. I think we would be the hit of the party!

I bought the music on itunes. Ah, how I love thee!

We also watched the Little Mermaid because Courtney hadn't seen it in a long time. That was good too. What was funny was yesterday I found this.
Isn't it hilarious? It's the two movies we watched! It's kinda funny how simular the two movies are.

Then i found this.
Admit it, we all want to know what's under there!

Wizarding Magic

Here are some Harry Potter related songs I found on youtube in the past year. I love them soooo much! If you guys have come across any that you love please share them with me. I'm trying to make a playlist of original Harry Potter songs to listen to when I'm in need of some Wizarding magic.

G to a T

Now we're just mothers, and we're just fathers of Teenage Daughters.
She rolls her eye's when I'm funny
But she's sweet when she wants money and her freedom

Haaaave Yooooou

If I was to get a tattoo I would get one like this, and in the same spot. I think it's cool. I don't think I could do the wors thing like Courtney, because I would want to read the words and not let others so it would be on upside down so when I turn my leg I could see it or it would be on upside down on my stomac and not make any sense, except in a 6 and 9. But let's not go there.
It's small and not on my arm, so it can't prevent me from getting a job at McDonald's. Plus, just like a tattoo / I'll always have you.

How Nostalgic

This is possible the best song to describe my entire childhood. It's the theme song for the Beatrix Potter show that BBC did a long time ago when Gretchen and I were we-babes. Any who, when I was a bit older I decided to make a massage shop in my room and I payed the nice calming music from the CD that had come with the VHS tape. (man, that is old, VHS!)

I asked mom if we still have the VHS's and (thankfully) she said yes.

Bust A Rhyme

Today Mom and I went to Rainbow foods after she picked me up at school. Normally I'm not a fan of that store, but it was for the food drive, and it was the closest grocery store so I ventured in.

As we were browsing the many different soups an old man in his 60s walked into the aisle. Glancing up I noticed he had a cord coming from his jacket I followed it up to his ear! He had an earbud in one ear and one hanging down while he listened to his music. He was a regular 60 year-old teenager. I thought it was quite adorable.

River @ Dawn

I love this song so much! I've been kinda' obsessed. (doesn't her hair look like G's?)

If I die young bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
oh oh oh oh

Lord make me a rainbow, I’ll shine down on my mother
She'll know I’m safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh and
Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
ain't even grey, but she buries her baby

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I’ve had just enough time

If I die young bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I’ve had just enough time

And I’ll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom
I’m as green as the ring on my little cold finger
I’ve never known the lovin' of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand
There’s a boy here in town says he’ll love me forever
Who would have thought forever could be severed by

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I’ve had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I’ll wear my pearls
What I never did is done

A penny for my thoughts, oh no I’ll sell them for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I’m a goner

And maybe then you’ll hear the words I been singin’
Funny when you're dead how people start listenin’

If I die young bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
oh oh

The ballad of a dove
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep ‘em in your pocket
Save them for a time when your really gonna need 'em oh

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I’ve had just enough time

So put on your best boys and I’ll wear my pearls

Mumford & Sons

This past Friday my family went out to a movie, but we were an hour and fifteen minutes early, so we decided to stop over at target instead of hanging around the movie theater.

Dad made a b-line for the music section as Mom, G, and I tagged along, stoping only to lay down in some outdoor chairs. As we chilled, being all hip in the music section, Mom found the Grammy section and announced that she was going to get the Mumford and Sons cd, because (as she put it) "They're supposed to be good."
Now, I knew the songs on the cd, and Mom isn't one for swearing (or unintelligent language as she calls it) so the song 'Little Lion Man' (which is the BEST) wasn't going to fly in Mom's world.

Mouth open I asked Mom if she had even heard them play before. "Yea. Think they played at the Grammy's. One of them has a bald head right?"

Oh, god.

We played the cd in the car, but it was too loud that Mom didn't catch the swear words (yea...not sure how she didn't) and so it wasn't until Saturday morning (before my ACT prep-class) that Dad asked me why Mom had gotten the cd. He said he was surprised that I had let her buy the explicit one. So, I ended the whole thing by playing Mom 'Little lion Boy' so she could hear the chorus.

Cuando Me Enamoro

Tomorrow I have a spanish quiz thing where we have to listen to a song in spanish and then write about it. It's kinda' hard, not gonna' lie, but I'm still not gonna' study.
As a tribute, I'm listening to Enrique Iglesias.

Remember this? When Rory goes to pick up a vomit covered backpack for Lane? Ah, good times! (credit)

I Spy HP!

Okay, I know this is long in coming, but ever since the 100 movies thing I haven't gotten back into my grove. So, I've decided to just force myself to blog until it becomes fun again. (yea, not a good idea for most things, relationships, but it's okay in this setting)

I watched the Grammys off and on last Sunday and I noticed a little something on Eminem's neck as he gave his type of acceptance speech, boxers and all.
Our little 9th grade drop out is a Harry Potter fan. Here he is sporting a Hallows necklace. (and for thoes who don't know or just forgot)
Here would be an up close picture of the necklace. With all of the three things a wizard/witch would need to be the master of death. The stone to resurrect people, the cloak to sneak into places, and the wand to be un beatable. Wizards or witches would wear it so that others on the journey would know they are on the same side and talk about their revelations they have had.

Any who, I thought it was funny that he had a necklace similar to the master of death one.
