"Brings out their savageness" - Mr. Stippel in talking about Prom

For some reason Mr. Stippel has been talking a lot about prom and I'm very sick of it. Sure some people get crazy about prom, but then there is the equally large group of people that just go for fun and don't care that much about it.

I happened on a clip via Comcast a week ago and they were talking about how certain schools were regulating what type of dresses the girls could buy for prom. And looking at the prom page on Facebook almost half of the dresses would be no-no's. I really don't care what people end up wearing as long as they wear clothes.
Ah, see this is the type of prom I would like. Ron and Kim, finally getting together! Remember that? It was big news on Disney Channel yo!
Apparently Ragan has decided not to go this year to prom because Dani is pressuring her into bringing a date, goodness Dani. Tell you the truth I really don't like that Ragan is not going because Dani wants to go with boys. If she doesn't want a date then she can just go with Nora and I. I would be more then glad not to go with Dani, and Nora really wouldn't care. Besides she could have told us before we both got dresses! The reason I'm going is to have a fun night with Nora and Ragan.

I need to have a good talking to Ragan, with Nora calmly watching the whole process.

I guess there is a bit of Prom Drama...

Rap-ing

So, yea. Can we talk about the fact that I just went Christmas shopping for my boyfriend...dude, weirdest thing ever!

Well, I take that back, I've done a lot of weird things.

This whole thing in uncharted territory. And not thanks to Nora and Ragan. Those two are about as helpful as two bumps on a warthog. And for those who don't know, that's not very helpful.

It's also awkward at times, but it really shouldn't be. I've just never been in this situation before. I think I share to much about it, because people in lunch were making fun of him in regards to our first kiss....I think it was cute, and great. All they did was laugh at him. (I stood up for him, no worries)

I have become a shy person when around him. It's an odd feeling, I've never been a fan of being shy. Plus I get nervous a ton...man, SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET ON THE SAME BOAT AS ME!

I also shopped for everyone else on my list. Then I came home and started the long process of wrapping the gifts.

His is SCARY! I'm super embarrassed about it, but I'm to lazy to redo it, so he's gonna have to deal.

And then....Moms....is....

I'll give you a picture, I can't explain it in words.

Ordinary Wizarding Levels

Seeing Sam walk in front of me with his newly shaved head gives me the jump start I need. I slip into the check in line after saying a quick hello to him as he sits down next to me. Why did I have to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt? Not that I have any thing 'for' him, but I like to look good in front of people I know, especially people from video. I check and see Nora will be escorted into the testing room soon. I walk into the room an immediately am transported.

I walk down the asile at a brisk pace. My black Hogwarts robes touch the top of my shoes and billow out behind me. I am directed to a chair by Professor Flitwick who is waving his wand around the big Hogwarts hall arranging chairs in an acceptable order.

My desk is smaller then I would have imagined coming from Hogwarts. Can't they just put an enlarging charm on them? I would like to be able to fit two pieces of paper on the desk. Is that asking too much?

I slip into my seat, pooling my robes on the floor and look behind me to see Nora sitting down in her chair too. Her blue Ravenclaw crest can been seen from my seat, she's the center chaser for the Ravenclaw team, destined for the Sweetwater All-Stars quidditch team from Texas. Sam sits down too, his yellow Hufflepuff crest sits proudly on his chest, the beater for Hufflepuff, but nothing to brag about. I look down and am surprised to see a red crest displaying Gryffindor on my robes.

Professor McGonagall directs a hanging piece of fabric from the ceiling to say O.W.L.'s, I am not looking forward to this. Suddenly I shiver in my seat.

I find myself in a freezing cold gymnasium looking at an SAT proctor who doesn't know what he's doing at all. I sigh and look back at Nora then the ceiling, just incase I missed any floating candles when I walked in.

Give Me A Gift

Today when I got home I went to bed right away, just for a little hour nap. I told Dad to wake me up in an hour and I preceded to sleep for two and a half hours. Yea, Dad left for his hair appointment without telling Mom to wake me.

The next thing I know I'm being jolted awake by Mom saying it's six. I thought it was morning, and was depressed until I wrapped my mind around everything. Then I was sad that I hadn't finished my dream. Nora had sent me a big package with tons of presents (all for me), but I hadn't gotten to the opening part before I was awaken.

Ho Ho Ho

Today was my gift giving day.
I was so excited. I don't know what it is, but this season makes me feel wonderful! Everyone is dressed up and handing gifts to each other. I know some people aren't religious, but the idea that you give people gifts is a nice way to thank them for being there for you/loving you/dealing with you all year long.

Essentially it's Thanksgiving without the dead Native Americans.

Number 21

"Love and kisses Zaphod? You didn't even read it, did you?" - Zaphod

Funny story, I've only seen this movie once. For my 12th Birthday I didn't have a party, instead I went out to a movie with Nora and my family and then she slept over. Mom absolutely despised The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, where as I enjoyed it, true I had never read the book (still haven't) and nothing made that much sense, but hey whatever. The opening scene was very good.

Silas

People magazine isn't a light read
I sit at the kitchen table reading about celebrities problems while trying to avoid mine
Trying not to throw up,
Trying not to pass out
Trying not to feel hungry
Trying not to think

I set down the magazine and slowly stand up
My legs feel better today
I tighten my robe around me
Opening the freezer I grab an ice cube

At the table I crunch on the cube
Still the bad taste is there
The house shivers as the door opens
At the same time the flood gates open

16 Reasons

Inspired by Nora's birthday gift to me, here's a list of 16 reasons why I loved today and my party.

  1. Tessa's foreign exchange student was the first person to wish me happy birthday on Facebook. Nivétha Guna!
  2. Was yelled at by Courtney when I arrived at school. She wanted to wish me a happy birthday.
  3. People in biology were psyched that it was my birthday. For some unknown reason.
  4. My whole Spanish class seemed to know that it was my birthday.
  5. The stuck up Cutaway people in video wished me a wonderful birthday. It's quite an accomplishment for them to look down from their perch atop their self made alters to wish an underling, like me, a happy birthday.
  6. The funny hallway incident that involved Matt and Zach. I just need to tell you in person.
  7. Maher came to the party and proceeded to scar Gretchen. JK, she's all good.
  8. Wendy was able to come and I think got along with everyone. Including me.
  9. Got out of watching the movie because of Tess's dad. Cake time!
  10. Got Schindler's List from Mikaela. You have no idea how happy this made me!
  11. Blew out all the candles, no boyfriends to worry about.
  12. Had fun playing in fire with Sonia and Mikaela.
  13. Had, by far, the best gift turn out ever. I could really tell people wanted to give me something great, and they all succeeded.
  14. Met Nora's kitty after everyone left.
  15. It started to rain.
  16. Mom and Dad are gone tomorrow so that means Cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Ah, what a wonderful life.

Btw: Here is the safety video.

Necklace

"Do you wear that everyday?", Meghan asks me at lunch. I look down to see what her finger is pointing at and am pleasantly surprised to see she's pointing at my necklace.

"Yea. I got it from my aunt and this -I point at the pearl attached by a blue string- I got from Nora as a christmas present because I'm a pearl of great worth."

The silver necklace is 12 inches long (I know this because Gretchen broke it one time and the jeweler told us it was 12 inches.) and has a little charm at the end that's round with the word believe written on it. The other side of the charm has dream, but I alway wear the believe side out because I not only dream, but I believe.

Then the makeshift charm is from Nora. She gave me a little pearl on a blue string for christmas because I'm a pearl of great worth, so I cut the string short and tied it onto my necklace. It's one of my prized possessions.

Other thoughts: How will Meghan deal with no Bolgger over Spring Break? Don't tell me vote on the poll (you can chose more than one) to your right. --->

El Sol

Started watching October Sky today in history. We watched it last year in Science with Mr. Luke. I really liked it, and then (being the person I am, according to Courtney) I googled it. Man, can't believe that 'googled' is a verb.....

The movie was going to be called 'Rocket Boys', but they though that people wouldn't go see a movie called 'Rocket Boys', so they made up an anagram with the letters in Rocket Boys and got October Sky. I didn't know how appropriate it was until I remembered that it's all about Sputnik (the first man made satellite to be launched into orbit) and that it was launched October 2ed...into the October sky.....I'll let you mull over that. Nora's brother's twin is in the movie, kinda' creeps me out. The dude (guy on the far left) isn't quite as annoying as Reid, but hey, he tries.

I know most of you don't believe that there is a god, but could you pray for Ragan's family? I think they would really appreciate it.

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Louis

I have decided to name my laptop (after many month's of trying to find the right one) Louy. This came upon suddenly, today, when Ragan, Gretchen, and I went to Leap Year.

The film was amazing. Don't let the stuck up snobs at Rotten Tomatoes (the movie review site) tell you any different, it was amazing. The actors were perfect and the scrip was so funny Gretchen chocked on her sweat tarts while laughing. Music, extraordinary and it fit the feel of the movie so well. And the set.....ahhh.....they filmed in Ireland which, to say the least, was a grand idea. Look at me, I'm typing Irish.

Her suit case in the movie is a Louis Vitton. When the guy is handling it roughly she tells him it's a 'louy' as if that would make a total difference to a small town Irish man. It doesn't and he thinks she named the suit case Louy.

I had tons of fun tonight and today, I just love spending time with Ragan, it's always so much fun. Nora and I have decided to move to Venice, Italy. It's a perfect place, right in the middle of the Mediterranean! Now, I just have to start planning on where to visit.

Green Apples

Sitting in Ragan's living room on the rocking chair I couldn't think of a place I would rather be at than there. Nora and Ragan always make me feel so...alive?...I guess that's the word. Not that I'm not when their not around, but I really enjoy their company. Nora won Apples to Apples by like, a million. I loved the fudge Ragan gave to me, but I have a feeling that once I place it out on the counter Gretchen and Dad will have eaten it all by the next day, but hey, do I expect any less? :)

Finally I cleaned up my bedroom, it was a pig sty. I don't remember it ever getting this dirty, well more like messy. There were like mountains of clothes and some of them were clean. Yea, the Appalachinan mountains moved into my bedroom. When I was cleaning I saw Ferris Bueller's Day off, I really want to watch that again. Best Christmas gift ever, thanks Gretchen!

I leave you on theses two notes:

I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus, Goo goo g' joob!

and
