"Brings out their savageness" - Mr. Stippel in talking about Prom

For some reason Mr. Stippel has been talking a lot about prom and I'm very sick of it. Sure some people get crazy about prom, but then there is the equally large group of people that just go for fun and don't care that much about it.

I happened on a clip via Comcast a week ago and they were talking about how certain schools were regulating what type of dresses the girls could buy for prom. And looking at the prom page on Facebook almost half of the dresses would be no-no's. I really don't care what people end up wearing as long as they wear clothes.
Ah, see this is the type of prom I would like. Ron and Kim, finally getting together! Remember that? It was big news on Disney Channel yo!
Apparently Ragan has decided not to go this year to prom because Dani is pressuring her into bringing a date, goodness Dani. Tell you the truth I really don't like that Ragan is not going because Dani wants to go with boys. If she doesn't want a date then she can just go with Nora and I. I would be more then glad not to go with Dani, and Nora really wouldn't care. Besides she could have told us before we both got dresses! The reason I'm going is to have a fun night with Nora and Ragan.

I need to have a good talking to Ragan, with Nora calmly watching the whole process.

I guess there is a bit of Prom Drama...

Rap-ing

So, yea. Can we talk about the fact that I just went Christmas shopping for my boyfriend...dude, weirdest thing ever!

Well, I take that back, I've done a lot of weird things.

This whole thing in uncharted territory. And not thanks to Nora and Ragan. Those two are about as helpful as two bumps on a warthog. And for those who don't know, that's not very helpful.

It's also awkward at times, but it really shouldn't be. I've just never been in this situation before. I think I share to much about it, because people in lunch were making fun of him in regards to our first kiss....I think it was cute, and great. All they did was laugh at him. (I stood up for him, no worries)

I have become a shy person when around him. It's an odd feeling, I've never been a fan of being shy. Plus I get nervous a ton...man, SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET ON THE SAME BOAT AS ME!

I also shopped for everyone else on my list. Then I came home and started the long process of wrapping the gifts.

His is SCARY! I'm super embarrassed about it, but I'm to lazy to redo it, so he's gonna have to deal.

And then....Moms....is....

I'll give you a picture, I can't explain it in words.

About A 9

I think I've slid up to a nine because of today. I can't wait to tell Sheila.

First, I went dress shopping with Ragan (who's dress was $29.99, go to Davids Bridal and ask for the dresses that are that price.) where she got a beautiful dress. Then I went home, watched some TV and read. Then I headed off to Stillwater Bowl and bowled with Ragan, Austin, Dani, Dani's brother (Dominic), and Dominic's friend Austin (his nick name is Yoda). We had fun, had really bad service and never got our pizza. The stupid employee (wearing a disgusting lime green shirt) finally gave me my money back after I brought out 'angry Liz'. Then we proceeded to go back to Dani's and play a nerf gun/capture the flag game. It was a lot of fun, I think I want nerf guns now.

Dress-ing

Today I went prom dress shopping with Ragan and her mom. Ragan got a beautiful black and white dress.

Ho Ho Ho

Today was my gift giving day.
I was so excited. I don't know what it is, but this season makes me feel wonderful! Everyone is dressed up and handing gifts to each other. I know some people aren't religious, but the idea that you give people gifts is a nice way to thank them for being there for you/loving you/dealing with you all year long.

Essentially it's Thanksgiving without the dead Native Americans.

Unicorn Hair

No matter where I go I can't get away from it. I told myself that I would be calm today and not be totally obsessed with Harry Potter. I would refrain from asking people if they are going to to the opening. I would not tell people about what I had read the night before, or the fact that I stayed up way to late. No, I wasn't going to do it. In fact, I was doing very well until math. Ragan had brought the book with her to school and I'm not off when I say that she really didn't get any work done today. Even during our math review her eyeballs were glued to the pages. At least it's a healthy addiction, better then meth or pot or (insert you favorite addiction here).

T Minus Thursday

Mostly because of the movie coming out on Thursday/Friday is why this post is being posted, but it's also because Harry Potter is cool, and no one can tell me otherwise. (and so is Ginny, via above) I made Hannah a flow chart for the fourth, fifth, and sixth movies today, It was really fun and nice to go over them all so I'll remember them while watching the first seventh one. I'm super excited. I'm debating about dressing up, but as who? (perhaps Ginny? I really don't look like any...) Ragan and I are lending her the movies so she won't be as deprived. Poor Hannah.

Texting Mi Amiga

Hello Ragan. One of my faithful readers. I think you need a blog, and I'm talking seriously here. I really didn't want to get one at first, but it's grown on me! (but if you do, please find a cool back round, some people -tessa- need a lesson in what's cool)

Anyway the real reason for this post is to tell you about my superpower! Yes, just like Even R. Lawson, from Royal Pains, I have a super power! Thanks to Ragan I have found it. I can relate anything to Gilmore Girls, or as I like to call it, Gilms.

Ex: Text from Ragan - Okay, how about this I'm going to work now.

Text from Liz: Oh! You and Rory it's all about your job.

See! See! It's amazing! So, just ask away.

16 Reasons

Inspired by Nora's birthday gift to me, here's a list of 16 reasons why I loved today and my party.

  1. Tessa's foreign exchange student was the first person to wish me happy birthday on Facebook. Nivétha Guna!
  2. Was yelled at by Courtney when I arrived at school. She wanted to wish me a happy birthday.
  3. People in biology were psyched that it was my birthday. For some unknown reason.
  4. My whole Spanish class seemed to know that it was my birthday.
  5. The stuck up Cutaway people in video wished me a wonderful birthday. It's quite an accomplishment for them to look down from their perch atop their self made alters to wish an underling, like me, a happy birthday.
  6. The funny hallway incident that involved Matt and Zach. I just need to tell you in person.
  7. Maher came to the party and proceeded to scar Gretchen. JK, she's all good.
  8. Wendy was able to come and I think got along with everyone. Including me.
  9. Got out of watching the movie because of Tess's dad. Cake time!
  10. Got Schindler's List from Mikaela. You have no idea how happy this made me!
  11. Blew out all the candles, no boyfriends to worry about.
  12. Had fun playing in fire with Sonia and Mikaela.
  13. Had, by far, the best gift turn out ever. I could really tell people wanted to give me something great, and they all succeeded.
  14. Met Nora's kitty after everyone left.
  15. It started to rain.
  16. Mom and Dad are gone tomorrow so that means Cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Ah, what a wonderful life.

Btw: Here is the safety video.

Eight Kids

The matriarch of the Sovell family has passed on. Surrounded by her eight kids she spent the last few days of her life sitting in front of a big dead cactus. Being a ninety three-year-old women, she saw a lot. We were a part of two world wars, landed on the moon, and hosted Woodstock during her life time. Suffice to say, this queen had a nice long life.

I wouldn't bombard her when you see her. That's the last thing she needs right now, all she needs is a bit of ice cream (right Courtney?) and that's what I'm gonna' get right now.

Ah hey ma ma ma hey ah
Life in a northern town.

El Sol

Started watching October Sky today in history. We watched it last year in Science with Mr. Luke. I really liked it, and then (being the person I am, according to Courtney) I googled it. Man, can't believe that 'googled' is a verb.....

The movie was going to be called 'Rocket Boys', but they though that people wouldn't go see a movie called 'Rocket Boys', so they made up an anagram with the letters in Rocket Boys and got October Sky. I didn't know how appropriate it was until I remembered that it's all about Sputnik (the first man made satellite to be launched into orbit) and that it was launched October 2ed...into the October sky.....I'll let you mull over that. Nora's brother's twin is in the movie, kinda' creeps me out. The dude (guy on the far left) isn't quite as annoying as Reid, but hey, he tries.

I know most of you don't believe that there is a god, but could you pray for Ragan's family? I think they would really appreciate it.

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Together As One

The aura around her was like death. I slip into stride with her as I walked to English and she doesn't even smile. Her smile is what makes her, her. Realizing this my heart drops into my stomach and makes me feel like I need to puke. This feeling shouldn't be handed to someone as nice as her or her family.

The waves I've been suppressing from the summer after sixth grade roll over me and I try to push back all the emotions that wash down upon me. It's hard not to immediately think about Susan when I hear the word death. The whole ordeal really scarred me. I can tell you the exact moment I lost my innocence. Not something you really want to be able to do.

I'm sorry Ragan, I don't deal with death and sadness very well. I hate emotion, that's the real reason why I refuse to watch Titanic. I just want you know I'm here if you need me, I'm going to try my best. I love you.

here comes a time
When we head a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

Oh Goodness...

Courtney did you tell Bliss? I really don't mind, but there was this...look...

I usually walk with Ragan outside to the buses and I meet her at her locker witch just happens to be right next to his. She was talking to him and then he, Ragan, and Bliss both looked over when I walked over and Bliss said, "Oh here she comes!" and gave me an odd look.....maybe I'm just paranoid.

I raised my eyebrows as a greeting to him and then walked away.....

I saw you
In your tight ass rocker pants
You saw me too
I laughed
'Cause I was completely trashed
And I watched your
Ugly girlfriend
Sneer across the room
As if, I really care
That she's here with you
All I know is...

Your my object of affection
My drug of choice
My sick obsession

You Married A What?

Today during lunch Meghan had a....let's call it spaz attack. It's not her fault, in no way is it her fault. I think the person to blame here is the blog inventor and bacteria.

You see, Meghan went out with friends on Friday and then proceeded to lay in bed all of Saturday because she was feeling like crap. What do you do when you're sick? Well I, personally, watch movies all day and lay around on the couch. Apparently Meghan enjoys updating her blog....constantly....

I came home from my weekend and saw that she had about a million updates to her blog and the whole time she was ranting (of course, I like those post the most) and then she was talking to the readers and...oh boy...I was concerned.

So, Meghan was telling us at lunch about her long weekend and how her mom told her to take this medicine this morning which made her crazy and poor Ragan was just sitting their shocked by the whole thing. I don't think Meghan has ever talked that much in one sitting.

I've come to this conclusion:
1. Ragan is very innocent
2. I should never go anywhere without a computer
3. I married a crack whore

Love you Meghan

Louis

I have decided to name my laptop (after many month's of trying to find the right one) Louy. This came upon suddenly, today, when Ragan, Gretchen, and I went to Leap Year.

The film was amazing. Don't let the stuck up snobs at Rotten Tomatoes (the movie review site) tell you any different, it was amazing. The actors were perfect and the scrip was so funny Gretchen chocked on her sweat tarts while laughing. Music, extraordinary and it fit the feel of the movie so well. And the set.....ahhh.....they filmed in Ireland which, to say the least, was a grand idea. Look at me, I'm typing Irish.

Her suit case in the movie is a Louis Vitton. When the guy is handling it roughly she tells him it's a 'louy' as if that would make a total difference to a small town Irish man. It doesn't and he thinks she named the suit case Louy.

I had tons of fun tonight and today, I just love spending time with Ragan, it's always so much fun. Nora and I have decided to move to Venice, Italy. It's a perfect place, right in the middle of the Mediterranean! Now, I just have to start planning on where to visit.

Green Apples

Sitting in Ragan's living room on the rocking chair I couldn't think of a place I would rather be at than there. Nora and Ragan always make me feel so...alive?...I guess that's the word. Not that I'm not when their not around, but I really enjoy their company. Nora won Apples to Apples by like, a million. I loved the fudge Ragan gave to me, but I have a feeling that once I place it out on the counter Gretchen and Dad will have eaten it all by the next day, but hey, do I expect any less? :)

Finally I cleaned up my bedroom, it was a pig sty. I don't remember it ever getting this dirty, well more like messy. There were like mountains of clothes and some of them were clean. Yea, the Appalachinan mountains moved into my bedroom. When I was cleaning I saw Ferris Bueller's Day off, I really want to watch that again. Best Christmas gift ever, thanks Gretchen!

I leave you on theses two notes:

I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus, Goo goo g' joob!

and
